Ein konzertanter, performativer Waldspaziergang mit Klanggärtner Andres Bosshard und Grauton (Karen Geyer). Andres und Karen laden zu einem Klangspaziergang durch den Schwarzwald ein. Vor unseren immer grösser werdende Ohren entfaltet sich der Kosmos des belebten Waldraumes. Wir erforschen das spontane Dirigieren der KlangWald Zufälle, die natürlich gerade am Anfang immer das machen, was sie wollen. Damit verbunden bietet Andres die ersten Schritte zur - staatlich nicht anerkannten  – aber garantiert Ohren öffnenden Ausbildung zur Klangförsterin, zum Klangförster an. Als Klangwaldmusikerin wird Karen auf unserem Rundgang auch selbst aktiv, um ihre ganz eigen feinen Töne in das Klangspektrum des Schwarzwaldes  zu weben. Denn auf dem Weg durch den Wald begegnen uns immer wieder Klänge, von denen wir nicht wissen, ob sie gewollt oder zufällig entstehen und woher sie genau kommen. Das Blätterdach über uns beginnt zu wispern, zu flüstern oder gar zu singen, auf den Ruf einer Amsel antwortet eine Zithermelodie, aus dem scheinbar zufälligen Knacken und Klopfen am Boden liegender Baumstämme entwickelt sich ein rhythmisches Stück, hoch oben in den Baumwipfeln rauscht der Wind. Für den Klangspaziergang hat Karen Bäume, Büsche und Gehölze mit der Musik ihrer selbstgebauten Instrumente präpariert und entwickelt entlang des Weges eine feine Klangpartitur, die mit den SpaziergängerInnen in Dialog tritt und immer wieder überraschende Hörräume schafft.

Der Klangkünstler Andres Bosshard ist 1955 in Zürich geboren und eine internationale Koryphäe auf seinem Gebiet. Spielerisch gestaltet er Klangtürme, -inseln, -gärten und -himmel im öffentlichen Raum, etwa den Expo-02-Klangturm auf der Bieler Arteplage oder das Klangprojekt „sonicArK“ für die Kulturhauptstadt Aarhus 2017. Er arbeitet mit Architektinnen und Landschaftsplanern, berät Lärmschutzexperten, publiziert über Klangkunst und lehrte bis zu seiner Pensionierung an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. Ein Visionär, der Kunst im Alltag für alle erfahrbar macht.

Karen Geyer CH (*1976 in Konstanz) ist eine international tätige, freischaffende, diplomierte Klangkünstlerin (ZHdK 2003) mit Lebensschwerpunkt in Zürich CH. Seit 2004 arbeitet sie künstlerisch mit Oral History mit eigenem Archiv. In ihrer experimentellen Musik baut sie aus zweckentfremdeten Alltagsgegenständen Instrumente, die sich selbst spielen können. 2007- 2013 lebte sie in New York und widmete sich intensiv dem Oral History der jüdischen Diaspora und baute sich ihr internationales Schaffen zwischen Bildender Kunst und Musik auf. Sie ist beim Label Dumpf vertreten. 2013 wurde ihr Sohn in Zürich geboren, wo sie seither sesshaft ist. Verschiedene Lehrtätigkeiten in der Bildenden Kunst im Bereich Sound, Leitung SO21 experimentelles Sendegefäss bei Radio LoRa und eigene Konzertreihe in ihrem Studio seit 2020.

SOUND WALK

A concertante, performative walk through the forest with sound gardener Andres Bosshard and Grauton (Karen Geyer). Andres and Karen invite you to a sound walk through the Black Forest. The cosmos of the living forest space unfolds before our ever-expanding ears. We explore the spontaneous conducting of the KlangWald coincidences, which of course always do what they want, especially at the beginning. In connection with this, Andres offers the first steps towards the - not state-recognised - but guaranteed ear-opening training to become a sound forester. As a sound forest musician, Karen also becomes active herself on our tour to weave her very own delicate tones into the sound spectrum of the Black Forest. As we walk through the forest, we repeatedly encounter sounds that we don't know whether they are intentional or accidental and where exactly they come from. The canopy of leaves above us begins to whisper, whisper or even sing, the call of a blackbird is answered by a zither melody, the seemingly random cracking and knocking of tree trunks lying on the ground develops into a rhythmic piece, high up in the treetops the wind rustles. For the sound walk, Karen has prepared trees, bushes and shrubs with the music of her self-made instruments and develops a fine sound score along the way, which enters into dialogue with the walkers and repeatedly creates surprising listening spaces.

The sound artist Andres Bosshard was born in Zurich in 1955 and is an international luminary in his field. He playfully designs sound towers, islands, gardens and skies in public spaces, such as the Expo 02 sound tower on the Biel Arteplage or the "sonicArK" sound project for the 2017 Aarhus Capital of Culture. He works with architects and landscape planners, advises noise protection experts, publishes on sound art and taught at the Zurich University of the Arts until his retirement. A visionary who makes art tangible for everyone in everyday life.

Karen Geyer CH (*1976 in Constance) is an internationally active, freelance sound artist (ZHdK 2003) with a degree in sound art, centred in Zurich CH. Since 2004 she has been working artistically with oral history and her own archive. In her experimental music, she builds instruments from misappropriated everyday objects that can play themselves. From 2007 to 2013 she lived in New York and devoted herself intensively to the oral history of the Jewish diaspora, building up her international oeuvre between visual art and music. She is represented by the Dumpf label. Her son was born in Zurich in 2013, where she has lived ever since. Various teaching activities in the visual arts in the field of sound, head of SO21 experimental radio programme at Radio LoRa and her own concert series in her studio since 2020.
